M.Y. Atoll Explorer
Do you have a non diving partner ? Do you always have the situation where you have to compromise the quality fo your diving? The Atoll Explorer is the answer, a cruise boat rather than the more traditional liveaboard it offers the diver and non diver a cruise itinerary which compliments the Maldives very best dive sites. The set itineraries cover the famous dive sites of Fish Head and Maaya Thila amongst others. Dives are made throughout the day and work in conjunction with the non diving activities which include desert island and resort visits, beach B.B.Q's and shopping trips to Male.
The boat has a fully equipped dive centre with a full range of equipment for hire, generator, compressors, resident instructors and guides. There is a huge kitting up area before transfering to the Dhoni from where all dives are made from. Facilities on the boat include a bar area ideal for pre meal drinks, a restaurant serving buffet style meals, 2 large sun decks, jacuzzi and gift shop.
All-Inclusive liveaboard
All meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner. All drinks: Beer, house spirits and wine, soft drinks, unlimited tea & coffee. Watersports: Windsurfing
Accommodation
The Atoll Explorer has 20 well furnished cabins with either double or 2 single beds. All are outside cabins, 12 of which are with picture windows and 8 cabins with private balconies. All cabins have air-conditioning, ensuite bathroom, wardrobe space, piped music and telephone.
Diving
There is a program of three dives a day with night diving and the itinerary is planned according to the season and prevailing conditions. Dives are organised by fully qualified diving Instructor who is there to ensure you get the best from your holiday. Atoll Explorer offers a schedule of 7 night safaris which can be booked by both individuals and groups and combined with island holidays. Diving takes place from the dive support boat called a dhoni.
