This really is a place of tranquillity at the end of a long journey. Thick vegetation conceals this romantic hideaway from the outside world and a score of hidden delights will greet you once you step out of the boat and through the resort's welcome pavilion. You also step right out of your shoes, for you are unlikely to want to wear them again until you leave. The owners of the island have an interest in flora and this is immediately apparant when you walk along the informal pathways with soft sand underfoot. Fringed by green shrubs and waving palms they meander through the island leading to delightfully secluded thatched bungalows set amidst the island's lush green vegetation.

5 Baros Pool Villas

Each Villa stands alone in a secluded tropical glade with a private swimming pool of pure translucence, just a few steps away from the turquoise lagoon lazily lapping against the shore. The four-poster bed sitting deep within the Villa looks out over the veranda and sundeck to the pool. There is also a daybed in the shade on the veranda and a table on the wooden deck for in-Villa dining under the stars. Natural light floods the Villa’s beautiful interior, and the gorgeously contemporary bathroom has a discreet outdoor garden rain shower. The television is concealed in an ottoman, wine is in the chiller, and a dedicated resort host can be summoned at any time.

The house reef at Baros benefits from an outstanding central location in the North Male’ Atoll, and is therefore very popular amongst divers and known as one of the best house reef in the Maldives. The easily accessible reef is not further away than 20 metres from the shore. The reef hosts the wreck of a traditional wooden boat at 18 meters depth. This wreck is home to different types of sharks, travelly, rays and groupers. Over 30 world class dive spots are in close range and offer a great variety of diving experiences, such as Manta diving, Wreck diving, Channel diving, Night diving and Thilla diving. The highlights are two Manta diving spots that offer year round a high chance of manta sightings.

Personal diving in small groups with a maximum of 5 persons, personal approach touch and debriefing with your instructor after each dive are some of the examples of how the handling at the dive centre is different.
